On-Site, Online, & Everywhere in Between: HydroCorp’s 2025 Year in Review

The end of the year is a time to look back and reflect on the work of our team, our customers, and our partners to protect communities across the country and safeguard against contamination. As always, we could not do what we do without the support and continued dedication of our customers to providing excellent service to their customers. We’re thankful and proud to serve alongside you!

Join us as we look back on the last year and look forward to the things to come!

2025 By the Numbers

HydroCorp has been busy! Our operations teams have been on-site surveying and supporting water utilities and facilities across the country. This year, we:

  • Completed over 120,000 cross-connection control inspections in public water systems
  • Installed more than 34,000 water meters
  • Mapped piping systems for industrial and healthcare systems across 19 states

The HydroCorp team grew this year, too. HydroCorp added 30+ new employees in 2025, many of which joined our municipal operations, industrial operations, and administrative teams to help us continue to provide excellent service to our customers and the communities they serve.

News & Noteworthy

Soft(ware) Serve

In 2025, HydroCorp announced and launched the latest version of our proprietary software, HydroSoft. The new cutting-edge features—from the user interface to the new mobile app design to reporting—support greater efficiency in the field and at the office.

And, for the first time, HydroCorp has begun offering HydroSoft as a SaaS product to our customers. Public water systems can purchase HydroSoft directly to support their in-house cross-connection control efforts, either as a standalone product or as a managed software solution in tandem with HydroCorp’s administrative support. The software revolutionizes cross-connection control program management by eliminating the need for repeated data entry, combining surveys and test tracking into a single platform, and ensuring transparent data and streamlined compliance reporting.

Services, Cities, & States, Oh My!

HydroCorp has continued to expand our services and service areas this year, too. Today, HydroCorp supports 600+ water systems across 21 states, serving a population greater than 11 million. As state regulations have changed, deadlines have come and go, and the HydroCorp team has been there to support public water systems and facilities, helping them stay safe and compliant.

In California, the deadline to submit a cross-connection control program under the CCCPH passed in July, and HydroCorp has been supporting public water systems across the state to help them navigate changing regulations. Major metropolitan areas have also explored different solutions to help them manage cross-connection control efforts efficiently and effectively. This year, HydroCorp partnered with Detroit (MI) and Toledo (OH), among other large cities, to provide administrative support, boost public education efforts, and conduct on-site surveys of residential and commercial properties.

HydroCorp also emphasized lead and copper water sampling in 2025, in line with federal and state regulations for both public water systems and non-residential properties like industrial facilities and schools. While the laws around lead and copper sampling aren’t new, the prevalence of lead service lines and fixtures, especially in older developments, mean this work is as critical as ever.

Finally, HydroCorp, was named Gold winner for Company of the Year by Best in Biz Awards! This recognition, the judges noted, flowed from HydroCorp’s strong mission and, in large part, our service area expansion and recent digital innovations.

Educational Endeavors

Our commitment to connecting with and educating public water system staff, facilities personnel, and members of the public has continued. HydroCorp’s webinar program has expanded this year with 20+ free, live webinars featuring experts from HydroCorp, trade associations, water systems, and facilities across the country. More than 1,200 water system and piping infrastructure professionals registered to join us virtually and learn about key safety, compliance, and operational topics.

Some of our top webinars, all of which are available for on-demand viewing, include:

This year, we’ve also shared educational resources in other formats, including blogs (check out our top blogs of the year!), white papers, tip sheets, checklists, and more. The ones you liked the best:

Additionally, the HydroCorp team has been actively running in-person and virtual training sessions alongside associations and water utilities. From in-person training across the Midwest on backflow prevention and cross-connection control to online training with the Maryland Rural Water Association to sessions at tradeshows across the country, HydroCorp’s team of experts cares deeply about educating professionals and the public on critical questions of water system safety.

Attention Fixed on 2026

As we look ahead to next year, HydroCorp is excited for all that the future holds! We’ll continue to partner with water utilities and facilities to protect communities’ drinking water and piping infrastructure from contamination. Expansion and educational opportunities continue to abound, and we hope you’ll join us every step of the way!
